Quickstart: host a video and embed it

Sign up, add a video (upload an MP4 or WebM up to 200 MB, or paste an MP4, WebM, HLS, YouTube or Vimeo URL), choose a thumbnail, then copy either the iframe or the one-line script embed from the video’s Share panel and paste it into your page. The video is hosted and delivered by Videokr, so nothing is stored on your own server.

1. Create an account

The free plan is $0 forever and needs no card: 5 videos, 500 plays a month, and every player, analytics and lead-capture feature switched on. The only difference from a paid plan is a small Videokr badge on the player.

2. Add a video

In Library → New video you can either:

• Upload an MP4 or WebM up to 200 MB per file. It is stored by Videokr and delivered from its edge network.
• Link a URL — an MP4, WebM or HLS (.m3u8) file you already host, or a YouTube or Vimeo link. Linked sources keep the file where it already lives.

Then pick a thumbnail. Upload an image (up to 5 MB) or let Videokr grab a frame from the video automatically.

3. Brand the player

Player settings control the skin, accent colour, corner radius, logo watermark and which controls appear. Nothing on the player advertises Videokr on a paid plan — see player and branding.

4. Add the marketing layer

Optional, and all of it is per video:

• Chapters and captions so viewers can skip to what they came for.
• CTAs, overlays and email gates to turn a watch into a lead.
• Related videos or a playlist to keep attention on your own site.

5. Embed it

Open Share on the video and copy one of:

Both work on any website — a static page, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, a React app, an email landing page. On WordPress, install the free plugin instead and use [videokr id="vid_abc123"].

Every video also gets a public page at videokr.com/v/your-slug you can link or share directly, with its own metadata and structured data for search.

6. Watch what happens

Within a minute of the first viewer, the video's Analytics tab shows impressions, plays, completion rate and a retention curve, plus device, country and referrer breakdowns. Any email captured in the player lands in Leads, exportable as CSV.
